On this page you will meet some wonderful people who are 'Turtle Heroes' who took the time and made an effort to find medical treatment for injured turtles.

Going ....
Going ...
GONE!

Roger found 'Lilian' a snapping turtle injured on the side of the road and then spent 2 hours looking for someone who could help the injured turtle. He finally found TurtleHaven and bought her here. Preston Animal Clinic treated her injury and she rehabbed here until Roger came back to take her home and release her.

Then there is 'Big Berta' who was hit by the Guelph Golf Course and Tammy Wright an Animal Control Officer with the Guelph Humane Society rescued her and got her treated at Campus Estates Animal Hospital.

'Big Berta' was one lucky turtle and only had shell lacerations that healed quickly and was released shortly after.

Can you tell 'Big Berta' is ready to go home?
Tanya & Cheryl from Pet Patrol rescued 'Snap' after she had been hit on the road. It was an adventure trying to get "Snap" out of the bin. Tanya & Cheryl are really cat people so dealing with "Snap" proved to be a challenge.
Thanks Tammy for taking her home!

Come on Snap .... don't you want to go home?
Concentrate...don't fall in the water...don't bite me.
Finally .. at the water's edge.
